Each area rug and tapestry is designed and hand-tufted by Mary-Jo Lough in Calgary, using the highest quality wool and materials. The result is a piece that brings warmth and character into any room.

about the process:

Rug tufting is a textile process that uses a handheld tufting gun to punch loops of wool through a backing material that is stretched on a tufting rack. After the tufting process is complete a layer of 100% latex adhesive is applied to the back, this will permanently adhere all of the fibers to the cloth & create a non-slip surface. The edges are folded and glued down with latex and an edging is added to finish the back smoothly. Each piece is then hand-carved with a razor to bring out texture and depth.
